Authentic work from Dakhla Oasis of Egypt. People of the villages are used to make their bread and fruit baskets and other food containers using date palm trees byproducts such as palm leaves and palm raceme. This sturdy plate is made by hand weaving with an ancient technique and has colored ribbon.

Size: ca. 25 cm (10") X 20 cm (8").

Material: Old leaves from date palm trees. Every year, after collection of dates we need to cut the old leaves as a part of the crop care. Instead of disposal of the leaves that means in many cases burning them, we make our beautiful and useful products out of the scrapped leaves.

Method: Handweaving old Egyptian technique.

Easy Care: Can be cleaned with a damp cloth and then let to dry. Don't wash with water.
